support when you appreciate it most
a doula makes pregnancy and birth more special
This is such a beautiful time.
Pregnancy, birth, and the early days with a newborn are some of the most joyful moments in your life, and at the same time, they can also bring uncertainty that catches many parents by surprise.
Rather than feeling like you have to figure it out on your own, your doula is there to provide dedicated, compassionate support and tailored guidance to you every step of this beautiful journey.
making those first moments special
As your doula, I provide caring, non-clinical support through your third and fourth trimesters. From providing support during labour to helping you rest and recover in the early days with your precious newborn. I am there to offer steady, practical care as you adjust to life as a new parent.

questions
How does a Doula help versus asking my family?
Family support can be wonderful, but loved ones are often emotionally involved and often just as tired as you are.
As your Doula, I provide calm, experienced support in your home, allowing your family to simply enjoy the baby. I also focus on you, ensuring you receive steady, practical, recovery care when you need it most.
My partner will be there. Why would we need another person?
As your Doula, I do not replace your partner. I provide support to both of you. Labour can be long and tiring, your partner can stay present, anticipate and provide support without feeling pressure to remember everything or manage the situation alone. Many partners feel relieved knowing they have guidance and support too.
We took childbirth classes. Do we really need a doula?
Childbirth classes offer valuable knowledge. In the moment, your doula helps you apply that knowledge in real time. During labour, it can be difficult to remember positions, breathing techniques, or comfort measures when those contractions are strong. I gently guide you through what you have learned and support you through each stage as it unfolds, so you don’t have to think about what to do next.
I’m planning a C-section. Is a doula still helpful?
Yes. My role does not end if your birth plan changes. I provide steady support before surgery and help you adjust during the first hours and days of recovery when movement is limited and rest is essential. I am there to support you and your partner around the experience, while you focus on meeting your baby.
What if I’m not sure I want another person in the room during labour?:
This is a very common concern. During labour, I support you in whatever way the moment calls for. Sometimes that means quiet encouragement; other times, it means active guidance and coaching when you need it most.
Once your baby arrives, I step back and give you and your partner the space to have your own special moment together. My role is never to take over, but to be there exactly when you need support. Many parents say afterwards they hardly noticed I was there, but they felt the difference in how supported they felt.
Why would I hire a postpartum doula instead of asking a friend or hiring a night nanny?
A friend offers love. A nanny offers childcare. What I offer is educated support for both you and your baby during a time when rest, recovery, and guidance matter most. My focus is not only on your newborn, but also on helping you adjust physically and emotionally as a new parent.
